Four reasons to celebrate

Wow — what a trip! Our project “Taxi Drivers.Written in Their Faces” has picked up quite a bit of momentum in recent months and has won four international awards. We're still a bit speechless.

Here is a short stroll through our (now) award-winning route:

1st London Photography Award 2024 — Gold in the Editorial Photography Documentary category

Very fresh and a real highlight: Gold in London! Who would have thought that our taxi driver portraits would make it onto the big stage of the British photo scene? We certainly didn't until we got the message.

2nd TokyoInternational Photo Awards 2023 — bronze in the Book-Documentary category
There was already applause from the Far East last year. We were delighted to receive bronze at the renowned TIFA. Tokyo obviously loves not only sushi and futuristic technology, but also authentic stories about people.

3rd New YorkPhotography Awards 2023 — Silver in the Editorial Photography — Documentary category
As is well known, the Big Apple never sleeps — just as little as taxi drivers who steer us around the clock through urban canyons. Right out of the skyscrapers of Manhattan, we received the coveted Silver Award.

4th InternationalPhotography Award 2023 — Honourable Mention in the Book — Documentary category
And as if all that wasn't enough, there was also an Honourable Mention from the IPA. A recognition that you don't even get just as you drive by. There are goosebumps when it comes to the competition.

Thanks, thanks, thanks. For me, all these awards are above all an incentive to keep going — more stories, more photos, more honest insights into the life of professional taxi drivers on the road of this globe.
