Rencontres d’Arles

Brilliant sunshine, Mediterranean lifestyle and photographs everywhere that inspire — the opening week of the international photo festival Rencontres d'Arles could hardly have been better. Together with photographer Christian Klant and our KME photographer agent Karim ElNour, we were in the middle of it all impulsive hustle and bustle.

A festival that brings together artists, art enthusiasts and industry professionals from all over the world every year is always a highlight anyway. But Arles has its own magic. In the charming alleys of the old town, under the bright blue sky of Provence, there is a colorful mix of renowned photographers and New Comers who, with their projects and exhibitions, have repeatedly presented exciting new perspectives.

Working together at the cutting edge
Our team was not only immersed in the exhibitions, but also always in contact with like-minded people. Between spontaneous discussions on modern trends and cozy evenings in cafés, an incomparable sense of community developed. networks? Of course! But it went far beyond just making contacts. We dived deep into the atmosphere and felt how much the creative scene lives and breathes here.

SYMPOSIUM BOUNDLESS WITH LEICA AND BFF
Together with my colleague, BFF photographer Klaus Mellenthin, in my capacity as managing director of the BFF Academy, I had the special honor of organising a three-day symposium for the first time in close cooperation with Leica. Under the title BOUNDLESS, we presented a diverse program of international positions by photographers, which offered inspiring insights into current trends and developments in professional photography.

Back in the studio — full of energy
After this intensive week in the south of France, we are now back in our studios and still carry the Arles spirit within us. With fresh ideas and unbridled motivation, we are looking forward to tackling new projects and processing the many impressions we have been able to gather over the last few days.

We are ready to carry on the festival feeling and share our enthusiasm for photography with all of you.

Stay tuned for what's to come — it's definitely us!
